The second quarter of the Proficiency Phase of the Certificate Program in Sanskrit Proficiency (SAN0402) is dedicated to the in-depth study of vyañjana (consonant) and visarga sandhis (coalescence of two letters coming in immediate contact with each other) These sandhis play a crucial role in the analysis and interpretation of Saṃskṛtam texts and verses Students will actively practice combining, splitting, and accurately identifying sandhis in verses, thereby gaining a comprehensive understanding of the vyañjana and visarga sandhis by the end of the quarter.
