FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) is a screening test for an Indian citizen or an overseas Indian citizen who holds a primary medical degree from a medical institution outside of India to be eligible for provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council on or after 15th March, 2002.

According to the 2002 Screening Test Regulations, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducts the Screening Test. The National Medical Commission and all State Medical Councils get the results once the exam has been administered, published, and distributed by NBEMS.
